you can adjust the blend and rate, which you can't do with the standard XO or big box model. the modulation is second to none as far as Memory Man's go. there isn't another pedal that comes close to that. with extra clarity and you can dial in 900ms of delay before there is ANY aliasing noise. How does it sound? it sounds spectacular. so in essence, there is no difference between the two models in regards to headroom etc etc. your XO takes a 24v power supply and internally regulates down to 15v. its slightly warmer, but with less the features and delay time.įirstly, to answer your question about the power supply: it takes a 9v supply but internally regulates up to 15v. The only other pedal that comes close is the Maxon AD-900. I bought the Deluxe Memory Man Tap Tempo 1100 about a month ago and I think its the best sounding delay I've ever heard. I already have EH’s digital version “Hazari”, wonderful features but I don’t believe matches the sound quality of the analog units. If there is another pedal that is superior to this one please let me know your thoughts.

Will the new 9.6 volt version sound as good as the 24 volt circuits. So I am really happy with my 24 volt unit I have now but I am wondering if the new version is worth the almost $500 bucks price. They also have the 1100 ms (vs 550 ms) delay capability which may be gone from the analog devices forever!!? I am intrigued that the new version can use an expression pedal on quite a few different parameters (might be very cool?. Well a year later and I still see some for sale (not sure if they have the real deal vintage delay chips) and they are 9.6 volt, not the 24 volt version like I already have. It was supposed to be the last run of vintage delay chips and that they would be gone forever. When I bought this unit EH was advertising a EH Deluxe Memory Man XO with tap temp and 1100 ms max delay. Truthfully I really like the sound sweet analog) and am quite happy with it. This is the 24 volt version with a 550 ms max delay.
